David Knoble has been honored to have several images selected as Master Shots with Leica Fotographie International, and others awarded a category shot in their online gallery. He has sold multiple prints at auctions to support charity and provided work to individual collectors. David has also published several books including a work on Bayonnais, Haiti (“A Fly in the Donkey’s Eye”) and Iceland (“Two Degrees Below the Arctic”). In addition, David writes regularly for the Viewfinder, the quarterly periodical for LHSA - the International Leica Society. Master shots
Leica Fotographie International curates submissions on a regular basis awarding Master Shot status to images, in their opinion, are of the highest photographic stature. The following images David received an award of Master Shot status.

Category Shots
Leica Fotographie International reviews submissions on a regular basis awarding their favorite images a category status. David has a growing group of images that have received recognition as Category Shots.
- Six images from Iceland, including two images of the northern lights, were awarded category shots by Leica Fotographie International.
- Five images from the South Carolina coast have been awarded category shots by Leica Fotographie International.
- One image from Normandy, France was awarded a category shot by Leica Fotographie International.
- One image from David’s work in Bayonnais, Haiti was awarded a category shot of “Kids” by Leica Fotographie International.
MAGAZINE COVER
David has one of his images of the Northern Lights from Iceland that was used as the cover of the 50th anniversary edition, volume 52, Issue 4 of the Viewfinder, published by LHSA - the International Leica Society.

David has been a contributing writer for several years to the Viewfinder, the quarterly publication of LHSA - the International Leica Society. David has written on topics ranging from using black and white film to creating a photography project. A list of David’s most recent articles is below.
